Stop or Pay the Price!
State law requires all vehicles to stop for school buses when flashing lights are activated and stop arm is extended.
Drivers who violate the law face a $500.00 fine.
Drives can face criminal charges for passing a school bus on the right, passing when a child is outside of the bus, or injuring or killing a child.
Blue Earth Area School Buses have installed Stop Arm Cameras on their school buses, thanks to the grant we received from the State of MN / Office of Transportation.
